Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers of Natrona County

The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program is authorized under Title IV, Part B, of the Every Student Succeeds Act. All four of the critical state education issues (statewide PAWS proficiency levels, graduation rates, remediation rates, and alcohol use) are targeted outcomes of 21st CCLC.

Mercer Family Resource Center has worked with a number of agencies in the past to provide afterschool programming through Cohorts 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10 & 12. Natrona County Prevention Coalition serves as the Natrona County 21st CCLC advisory board.

VIBES TRIBE

Middle school and high school students who join VIBES TRIBE explore the many ways music can enrich their whole lives! VIBES TRIBE activities incorporate drum circles, marimbas, digital music production, songwriting workshops, performance showcases and more to build musical competency, enrich reading and math skills, and amplify social and emotional skills, all while having fun with peers! This FREE program will give youth the opportunity to explore how music can help them deal with stress through a creative outlet. Snack is provided daily.

VIBES TRIBE meets Monday-Friday throughout the school year. Summer programming is also available each year. Check out the VIBES TRIBE webpage for details on the summer and/or school year schedule as well as enrollment details.

Casper AeroLab

Middle school and high school students who join Casper AeroLab will get to explore all aspects flight and space travel! Casper AeroLab incorporates project-based activities such as building rockets and airplanes, as well as learning about exciting current events such as NASA rocket launching, sky watching for planetary events, and tasting space food! All activities are designed to enrich reading and math skills, and amplify social and emotional skills, all while having fun with peers! This FREE program will give youth the opportunity to soar towards student success through aerospace enrichment adventures! Snack is provided daily.
